Big Ropey-Wire Wrapped Elite Shungite Pendant, Vintage, 27g, Sterling Silver

This substantial elite shungite nugget pendant has been wrapped in sterling silver wire, using casual, freeform styling.

The silver wrap is a bit like rope - wires wrapped around wires for an extra bold look.

This big boy weighs in at 27 grams and is 2.5 inches long! It would look great on leather cording or silver chain.

I recently acquired this pendant and a few others from a gentleman who was closing out his shungite store. He had a couple jewelry artists custom design some elite shungite jewelry pieces for him, and this is one of the few remaining.

Elite shungite (also called Type 1, noble shungite, or silver shungite) is the most powerful form of shungite, representing the top 1 percent of all shungite mined and comes from only  one place - Karelia, Russia. It consists of 98-99 percent carbon and contains the highest concentration of fullerenes, special and very rare large molecular carbon structures.
